Our Story
Purewood Keys began with a simple idea: piano learning should feel like sitting in a cozy studio, turning the pages of a well-loved notebook. We design lessons as carefully as furniture makers shape wood—clean lines, natural flow, and enduring strength. That’s why our harmony path focuses on essentials first and adds colors only when they serve the song.
Mission
Help motivated learners build durable chord vocabulary and improvisation skills by combining functional harmony, focused drills, and reflective practice. We avoid shortcuts and gimmicks. Instead, we guide you to hear movement, choose voicings purposefully, and improvise with taste.
What makes us different
- Journal-first design: lined paper sections and gentle borders keep focus on the material.
- Harmony-led improv: we teach motifs that follow guide tones, not random licks.
- No fluff: every module includes concrete play-along drills and listening checkpoints.
- Practice reflection: short written summaries reinforce memory and intentionality.
